In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, prior to and during the opening of the early childhood development sector strict guidelines must be adhered to in order to protect the safety of children, parents and employees.

The virtual (online) town hall meeting aims to introduce the guidelines developed as additional considerations for dealing with COVID -19.

Currently the sector is guided by the national standard: SLCP 15:2014 Code of Practice for Establishment and Operation of Early Childhood Development Centres.

The town hall meeting will be addressed by The Ministry of Education, Early Childhood Services Unit, National Association of Early Childhood Practitioners (NAECP), Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards and Ministry of Health. Questions can be presubmitted and sent during the event through chat box.

The decision on the re-opening of all centres also lies with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and attendance at the townhall meeting should not be taken as permission to reopen.

You are invited to participate in a Zoom meeting.
